We decided that with our move we would need a second car. We have been living with one car for the past 4 years ... that included 3 years in which we both worked and would have to transport a child back and forth to pre-school, etc. Looking back, it's pretty incredible that we could truly manage such a feat in this day and age. But with a lot of juggling and planning and the fact that Fares could use alternative transportation to class/work (bus, walking) we have managed. We felt that our sacrifice had served its purpose and a second car would be more than welcome once again.
Thanks to our good friend that knows a lot about cars and has contacts to get cars at auction and fixed up/checked over at a reasonable price, we got a new car for us...
I had had visions of a minivan so we could fit more people in one car, but I like the Tracker. It's a bit tighter in the back than our car, but it has already served us well with the extra cargo room possible and I definitely like being higher up. Isn't it a neat color??
