M-A-M-A-E

Yesterday, Gabriela wrote a word entirely on her own, no coaching at all!!! That word was "mamae" which is mommy in Portuguese!! Yeah!!! She has finally taken an interest in letters and writing, just a couple weeks ago, really. Gabriela is like that. She can not be coddled into having an interest, but once she catches the fever, she runs the race quite quickly. She is doing quite well and is beginning to enjoy it. Her name looks really good, and she's written a couple other things with us telling her what letters to write. But the "mamae" she did completely on her own. Unfortunately, it was not on paper... but one of those doodle things.
