As is becoming tradition, we took some friends to my parent's house to play out in the country and "celebrate" my birthday. We rode the horses, and went to an adult movie with just adults (thanks mom and dad for babysitting), went to the big international supermarket not too far away, visited Grandma, had a bonfire, watched the parade and ate well too! Here are some pics of the girls climbing in the tree! I think it is so great to just let the kids run and play outdoors and just be kids. It just seems so healthy and natural, and reminds me of my own upbringing (obviously as it was done in the same backyard I grew up in :).
These two have such a neat, special relationship. Thati is Gabriela's best friend and pretty much like a cousin. They play to no end, and can't get enough of each other, but have their fights too. We are so lucky to be friends with them and we had a good time in the country with them.
