Gabriela is really starting to grow up, but thankfully she's still my little girl for a little while longer. Here she is posing... So I feel I can brag here on my blog about my kids. So here goes.
She is super smart and probably the best reader in her class (makes her mom, a former book worm, quite proud). They do Accelerated Reading, and have an AR class for all second graders, and she is leading the pack, way out in front, with her AR points (they read a book, then take a test to get points). She's already hit 24 (+) points with the next closest student at only 12! She's also a great help around the house and with her little brother.
Here's a picture of just one of many moments that Fernando is all cute and smiley and you just want to squeeze him! He really is such a joy (despite some recent too-frequent awakenings at night which make you and your husband sleep deprived). He has a sunny personality and loves to be coy. He's a charmer. My MIL says he reminds her very much of his Dad as a baby :) In addition to grabbing everything in sight and starting some solids, he's starting to babble too. I love this age!! Still so innocent.
