Off Again

Well, we took one day's rest after our very fun but tiring day at Holiday World, and then headed to Indianapolis. We have two very close friends and their families living there and we love getting to spend time with either one of them, and often we try to visit both while we're in town.

Saturday was Thati's birthday party. We have been to all five of her parties, as they have also been to all of Gabriela's. The girls are great friends and so close we consider her a cousin. They play together so nicely, and are able to use their portuguese with one another, which is just great. It was a good party, as always, with lots of other Brasilians and their children also.

Using our new camera (yeah, another treat for us) I was able to capture some of Gabriela's newer swimming skills.



The next day we spent with our other friends, but sadly no pictures to share. We actually went to the zoo as they have a pass that can take an extra two people. We saw a lot of the marine exhibit -- I petted a shark, and we saw a lot of sea horses (very cool), the walruses were interesting, and then we saw a dolphin show, which was fun. We passed through a few other exhibits, but it was getting hot and the kids started getting hungry and cranky. We spent the rest of the afternoon back at their house just hanging out and relaxing, the girls playing together very well. That's always good.
