Good-Byes!

At the end of July we had to say good-bye to a very special family. They have been our close friends this past year in school. Despite being from the opposite sides of the world, we found our friendship to be a perfect match. Fares and Daniel are great buds, and Rida and I are wonderful friends. All the kids got along very well too; they often even fought for Gabriela's attention! This was not the first time we have said good-bye to close friends. Life as it is today has many changes and moves away from those special in our lives. This was no different in circumstance, but actually it was quite difficult to part with such good friends. This is our special family and the poem I wrote to symbolize our parting.

A Cup of Tea

Its warm scent steaming

Leaves brewing

The clink of spoons stirring

Warm and sweet

Calming and inviting

Best when shared with one or more

Whether in the east or west

Today or tomorrow

You will always be near

When my tea is sipped
