Mother's Day
My Mother's Day was not ideal in any way, but my husband and daughter made it sweet. I received some pretty yellow carnations earlier in the week. Then on Saturday afternoon I was leaving work (and they were there to pick me up), and they met me at the store entrance and Gabriela had a balloon that said "Happy Mother's Day" which she reiterated to me. At home they had two picture frames for me. Sunday was sad because I had to work all day (12-6) - very yucky! They had some cake at work and I think friends came over and visited that evening.

Eh, Mother's day is overrated. I think culturally it's built up to be such a 'big day' in reality moms have too much to do to 'take the day off'.
